How it works

One seat. One exam. Then it sends.

A LiveGrad seat is one outbound-email agent role, trained on your buyer and your offer. It has to pass a graduation exam before a single email leaves your domain. Here is the whole life of a seat, start to finish.

Step 1 · Day 0

Pay, then kickoff

You pick a seat and pay by card in Stripe. Checkout drops you on kickoff, where you book a time with Tom by email and see what happens next. No demo call is required to buy.

Step 2 · ICP intake

Tell the seat exactly who it is for

The ICP form takes a few minutes. It asks for the things a good SDR would ask on day one:

If the ICP is vague, the seat will be vague. So we push back on “anyone in B2B” before training starts.

Step 3 · Training

Train on your offer, not a template

The seat learns your offer the way you would explain it to a new hire: what you sell, who it is for, what it costs to ignore the problem, and the one ask you want to make. It drafts first lines and short emails against your ICP.

Nothing is sent in this step. Drafts exist only to be scored.

Step 4 · Graduation exam

Five checks. Four must pass.

Every draft is auto-scored against the same five checks. A draft needs at least four to pass. A seat graduates when its drafts pass consistently. A miss is not sent; it is rewritten against the checks it failed and scored again.

1 · Buyer
Names the person and their world: founder, agency owner, CRO, or the tool they actually run. “Businesses like yours” is not a buyer.
2 · Leak
Names what is broken: replies, meetings, pipeline, a domain that is getting tired. “Grow revenue with AI” is a category ad, not a leak.
3 · Gate
States why this is different. For LiveGrad itself, that is the exam: nothing sends before it passes. For your seat, it is your real reason to believe.
4 · One ask
One concrete next step, with a time frame. “This week” or “a short walkthrough” is an ask. “Sometime” is not.
5 · No spray
No spray costume: no fake praise, no “Hi there,” no “love your product,” no open-ended “quick call.”

A failing draft

Example · fails0 / 5
Hi there, Love what you're building! We help businesses like yours grow revenue with AI-powered outreach. Would you be open to a quick call sometime?
✗ Buyer “businesses like yours” · ✗ Leak no problem named · ✗ Gate generic AI claim · ✗ Ask “sometime” · ✗ No spray “Hi there,” fake praise. Not sent.

A passing draft

Example · passes5 / 5
Jordan — If Instantly/Apollo volume is up but meetings aren't, the list isn't the only leak. Domain reputation is. We graduate an outbound agent on your ICP before it sends a single email. Founders and boutique agencies use it when they want seats, not spray. Open to a short walkthrough of the exam + seat this week?
✓ Buyer founder running Instantly/Apollo · ✓ Leak meetings and domain reputation · ✓ Gate graduates before it sends · ✓ Ask walkthrough this week · ✓ No spray no costume.

Both are illustrative examples written for this page, not real sends. Try your own draft on the exam page.

Step 5 · Human review

A person signs off before the first send

Passing the exam earns the seat the right to send. It does not skip people. Tom reviews the graduated drafts and the target list with you, then starts the first sequence. You can ask for changes before anything goes out.

Your seat status page tracks the steps: paid, ICP locked, graduated, ready.

Step 6 · Sending

Slow, steady, and capped

A new seat starts at low daily volume and ramps up slowly. Each seat has its own daily sending cap, agreed at kickoff, so one seat cannot spend your domain's reputation in an afternoon. Follow-ups are short and few, and every email makes it easy to opt out.

The details on warmup, limits, and authentication are on the deliverability page.

Step 7 · Weekly rhythm

Once a week, look at what happened

Each week you get a plain summary by email and a chance to adjust:

You stay in control of who gets contacted and what the seat says.

Step 8 · Re-examination

When a seat sits the exam again

Graduation is not permanent. A seat goes back through the exam before it sends again when:

Same five checks, same four-of-five bar. A seat that fails pauses until it passes.

Graduate first. Then send.

Pick a seat, pay by card, and kickoff starts right after checkout. Questions go to tom@fxginteractive.com.
